Life on the Edge

"Life on the Edge" opened to the public this summer and is located on the upper level of the Tuckerton Yacht Club at the Tuckerton Seaport in Tuckerton, NJ. It is designed to be a virtual walk through our estuarine system: from the headwaters of the Mullica River, through the Pinelands, into the marsh ecosystem in Great Bay and then finally out into the open ocean. Visitors can learn about the habitats that make up the JCNERR as well as the cutting-edge science that takes place within the reserve. The exhibit includes video interviews with scientists in the field, aerial footage of the reserve and an exciting new “Town Hall” interactive experience, where visitors can hear about different land use development scenarios. For more information call Lisa Auermuller, Watershed Coordinator, at 609.812.0649.
